100周年記念｜IFSAM会長Nic Beech先生より祝辞

IFSAM会長Nic Beech先生より祝辞を賜りましたので、ご紹介申し上げます。

It is wonderful that JABA is celebrating its centenary – its 100th anniversary. JABA has led the way for scholarly associations of business and management and has done so by achieving world-changing innovations in research, scholarship, teaching and practice. There is a generosity of spirit to the JABA community who are inclusive of others, supportive of research students and colleagues and always looking to make a positive contribution to the world. JABA has played a central role in IFSAM, taking this generosity and expertise to the world and enabling the many younger associations and learned societies to grow and thrive.

It is clear that the world needs ever more effective collaboration and working across boundaries, be they institutional, disciplinary, industrial or national. I look forward to the next century in which we will see an expansion of collaborations for example in the form of keynote speakers from our associations at each other’s conferences, the further opening up and dissemination of your conference and journal, along with those of others, and, of course, I would encourage JABA members to attend the BAM conference and publish in the British Journal of Management.

Thank you for all that you have done over so many years, and for the example you have set. I look forward to working closely with you in the future.
